Symposium Participant - John Wright

I am a landscape architect from Ottawa, Canada.  About two years ago I discovered Urban Sketchers and the same week a colleague showed me some of his watercolour paintings that he had just done.  This was what I needed to get back to drawing and keeping sketchbooks.  My blog is almost one year old and feeding it has been a great incentive to get out and sketch.  I feel that I'm falling into a bit of a formula and look forward to the sessions helping push my boundaries.  It will also be great fun to meet other sketchers.

    Thanks for the enthusiasm Richard, Nina and Sahri. It's very affirming to recieve compliments from artists of your calibre. Gabi really started something special wth this USK interweb thing - getting a sense of the particpants before the symposium is brilliant. My goodness this will be fun!

    Oh, and Nina, I hope to get special 'splatter' coaching from you.

    John, as a participant of the first two symposiums, I can tell you that you will be thrilled with the energy and passion injected in those 3 days of symposium, sharing and drawing with so many new friends who inspired each other.

    Hi John, I'm a landscape architect too! I was a lecturer at the Lisbon symposium and, on returning home, started Urban Sketchers Texas. Really looking forward to meeting you and drawing together.
