I guess an umbrella will be useful...

FYI

Weather here is tricky, it has a mind of its own and it is independent from all forecasts available in the Internet. It might show that it's going to rain and then it happens to be sunny all day.

Just in case, add an umbrella to your packing list.

Orling, counting the days!

  1. Tricky to hold an umbrella and draw though...

    1. I've seen Liz doing it, she should give us a complete workshop on the topic, :-))

  2. Is it true that an inch or 2 of rain can come down in a day? Are there alternative sights for the workshops if there’s lots and persistent rain?

  3. Speaking of rain how goes the weather out there? Looked at an update weather chart and it says rain all next week, has there been a lot of rain recently

  5. Hi guys.... thanks for your kind words!

Yes, there has been a lot of rain, but weather is crazy here, it rains heavily for one hour and then the sun comes out, really strong... then it rains again or it doesn't. Today was a sunny bright day and in a second it turned gray and lot's of rain.... and now is quiet. We Dominicans don't think about weather too much because of these constant changes. :-)

My suggestion, let's go with the flow.. and bring a light umbrella just in case, carry it with you in case your workshop needs to move to a covert area.

Marcia, I will give the tour to the instructors around their site, let's see which alternatives we find then.

I guess the "Architecture" group can go inside the Cathedral... the parque Colón group can be safe in the covered area of Palacio Consistorial... etc.... some groups lik Marc's, Nina's or Lynne will probably have a harder time getting a safe place until the rain passes...

but... let's hope it's going to be sunny between 10-1 and from 4 to 7... :-))

  6. A plastic bag to put your sketchbook in when the first plop of rain falls is a good idea, too. On a recent 5 day trip to coastal Georgia it rained off and on for 4. I got drenched a couple times, but the drawings I was in working on made it safely into their Zip-Lock bags.
