Parque Colon Sketchcrawl

I arrived in Santo Domingo tired and the exercises sort of through me off balance, but things came together during the sketchcrawl on Saturday.

As a a landscape architect I got a kick out of how people in santo Domingo used Parque Colon as a sort of outdoor living room.  Chess and domino games where frequent subjects of the participant's sketches.

As a dog lover, I was interested in the number of very friendly dogs who seemed to have favourite spots to spend the day.  I had just drawn one of them when the scooter's owner showed up.  His name was Juan and he was as open and good natured as everyone I meet in Santo Domingo.  He informed me that the dog's name was Lula.  I left thinking that that she was not a stray, but rather a communal pet in a communal place.

These are wonderful. What's w/ the great motorbike sketch? LA's are notoriously bad with anything other than a tree or a person.
IT was great meeting you and I hope to see you soon.
